I just finished reading A Fate Forged in Fire by @hazelmcbrideauthor and I am completely obsessed!
First off, I love enemies to lovers, and from Aemyra and Fiorean’s first meeting in the forge, I knew their tension would be delicious, and I was not disappointed. But THAT ending, phew. My brain is spewing all kinds of theories to make it make sense about their chemistry, and I need book 2 immediately to quell my insatiable appetite for the pair of them.
It’s interesting to see how the decline of magic and dragons is linked to the uprising of a patriarchal religion as the Goddesses lose favour in society, and the world building around this has me intrigued about what it’s like in the other regions. Although with how the bond works with the dragons, I doubt we will get a first hand account of this.
Also, can we take a moment to appreciate the dedication, the map and the pronunciation guide – we need all fantasy books to give us a pronunciation guide!
Hazel, can we have book 2 like now please?!
