MY REVIEW:
Rate: 5 Stars
The longer you live, the more you learn. People are a mystery that can never be solved. Life has a way of sorting itself out.
Molly The Maid is a neurodivergent who is the heart and soul of this book that I love so much. She was a delightful character although I can see why some readers did not enjoy this story as it’s a little slow burn.
This was an entertaining dark comedy that had an unique character with some murder mystery vibes that was cozy, fun, emotional and so much more.
Molly is lovely, naive, has poor social skills with some OCD traits and she is definitely on the spectrum as well. She finds herself in awkward moments all the time yet she is delightful, charming and it’s such a joy to read the world through her eyes.
I loved reading about her relationship with Gran. It was so beautiful and reminds me so much of mine. All the wisdom and advices
Her world turns upside down when she is suspected for a murder of which she was the first to discover the body. When all the evidences points to her, she must prove her innocence but what if she is not ?
An intricate plot that was well written with many characters and told through Molly’s POV that was easy to read and I DID NOT SEE the twist coming. It was mysterious the whole way and I must say that this book was actually more on Molly’s character growth than the actual murder so don’t go in looking for a serious thriller.
Go in with the mind for a simple murder mystery then this book will captivate you so much that you will probably finish it in one sitting.
All in all if you love an unique murder mystery that was gripping, emotional and has some surprising twists and turns then this book might be for you.
