R.E. Generation is a dystopian novel that follows the life and death struggles of a group of people reawakened from suspended animation after 50 thousand years. They awake to the human-less, unfamiliar Earth, devastated by climate change. The story is interspersed by snippets of life of the failing word they left behind. To survive, the group must find ways to adapt to the new world, now run by giant mushrooms, and overcome the challenging and dangerous environment. Additionally, they have to cope with interpersonal tensions as they begin the journey of forging a new generation of humans. Will they be able to survive, or is this the final destination for humankind?

Prewer’s fiction is eerily parallel to a world that could be our reality. Well done on your debut

I think the last dystopian novel I read was 1984.. what’s your favourite?
